Friday 30 November 2012

Friday:
Week 24 Beginning Monday 26th November 2012:
I am pleased to say I have just cracked the 30 kilogram weight loss mark, and all just a little ahead of my own personal gaol of Christmas.  I had secretly hoped to have lost 30kgs before Christmas and I've made it a month early, so I am genuinely pleased with the results so far and again I say ... I have changed NOTHING but diet so far.  I do understand that exercise needs to be incorporated into the program once I am in a little less pain with my hip, but all good things come to those who wait.  I am also anxious to get the results of my final program blood tests on Tuesday.  Thank you so much Nutrition Diagnostics for changing my life.

Friday Breakfast:
Bacon, mushroom and tomato, with a double cream, feta cheese and eschallot scrambled eggs on top.

Friday Lunch:
Salad with grunt ... Sopressa and Chilli salami, a few different kinds of lettuce, a little carrot, tasty cheese, kalamta olives, baby roma tomatoes and a few gherkins for something different..  Nice and tasty.

Friday Dinner:
Mexican spiced beef mince, tomato, onion red kidney beans and a little tasty cheese alongside some cauliflower, broccoli, carrot and a nice slice of French butter.

I've lost 30kgs:
It brings you a little perspective when you put sixty (60) 500g blocks of butter in a pile totalling 30kgs, then sit back and contemplate that this is what I used to carry around as part of my own body, less than six months ago.  WOW!

Monday Breakfast:
Beef mince, red kidney beans, onion and tomato with some Mexican spices, plus a half an avocado mashed with a little cracked pepper an lime.

Monday Lunch:
Another tasty smoked ham and Danish salami salad with lettuce, carrot, kalamta olives, red cabbage, tasty cheese and some sliced baby egg tomatoes.

Sunday 25 November 2012

Sunday:
Week 23 Beginning Monday 19th November 2012:
28 kilograms down and my weight loss played catch up after the indiscretions of a slight alcohol infused weekend before last, so I'm back on track and the numbers on the scales are still going down, down, down.  Friends are genuinely starting to comment and notice now.  I must admit, it's a little exciting to be able to pull on a pair of shorts and a shirt that became too tight to wear nearly 10 years ago and not feel like I'm wearing a wet suit.

Sunday Breakfast:
We tried something a little different from Kokomo's Coffee House & Cantina for breakfast this morning ... the "Amy Special" with bacon, mushroom, tomato and spinach under a nice light, fluffy and mildly cheesy scrambled eggs.  Very nice indeed thank you.

Sunday Lunch:
Out and about today, we got a nice roast lamb, pumpkin and potato, with peas, carrots and corn meal from Bucking Bull at Westfield Strathpine.

Sunday Dinner:
A lovely tender steak, cooked to perfection, with cauliflower, broccoli and spinach.
