Friday 31 August 2012

Friday:
Week 11 Beginning Monday 27th August 2012:
Back on track with some awesome news after Friday's mid program blood tests.  I am very pleased to say that I am now 18kgs down from my starting weight of 190kgs, but probably most exciting is the fact that I have dropped insulin levels from the dangerously high level of 58 to just 26.  I have also now gone from a type 2 diabitic with a glucose level of 7.3 down to just 5.7.  Diabetes CAN be CURED.

Friday Breakfast:
Spicy eggs with 3 eggs, double cream, feta cheese, bacon, salami, mushroom, onion, kalamata olives and some chilli infused green olives, all covered in freshly ground black pepper.  Breakfast with bite.

Friday Lunch:
Yummy roast mint lamb, cauliflower, carrot and broccoli.

Friday Dinner:
Half a roast chicken.  Yep, that's it.

Week 9 Beginning Monday 13th August 2012:

Saturday Lunch:
A late lunch/dinner at the Coffee Club Albany Creek before our VIP trip to the Cirque Du Soleil "OVO" Show this evening.  Chicken Mignon with Chicken, bacon, carrot, asparagus, broccoli and cauliflower and mashed potato.  Yes, I only ate half the mashed potato Owen.

Saturday Dinner: "VIP Rouge"
Dinner wasn't really dinner ... rather some rather exquisite hors d'oeuvres prepared with a very healthy imagination from the VIP Rouge at Cirque Du Soleil "OVO" Show this evening.

Top left is a rare beef salad with a tiny little (about the size of a 10c piece) cup of chicken and capsicum along side a tiny pastry topped with salmon and mushroom.  Bottom left was an Asian steamed fish with vegetables dish.  Top right is a Cirque Du Soleil Popcorn to take into the show.  An hour or so later at intermission, we had a couple of creative deserts to finish off with.  Centre right was a tiny little pot plant filled with Tiramisu, topped with Milo and a sprig of Mint to finish off the plant pot look.  Very tasty and a very cute way to present the desert.  Bottom right was a plastic flower cup filled with passion-fruit custard and topped with white lumpy sweet stuff.  Yum!

Then, after the show and on the way home, I was bound and gagged, strapped to my chair and made eat this disgustingly delicious plate of waffles with maple syrup, home-made butterscotch, strawberries and ice-cream at the Coffee Club Aspley.  I was later untied so I could drive home.  :-)
